Our Venue

RLT Productions presents most of its full-length shows at the prestigious Pro Musica Theatre [link] in Florida Park, Roodepoort, just outside Johannesburg, Southern Africa’s commercial hub and largest city.

Set in several acres of tranquil suburban parkland adjacent to the Roodepoort Civic Centre, Pro Musica is a fully equipped, professionally staffed 320-seat theatre. Renowned for its comfortable, spacious seating and excellent acoustics, the theatre also boasts fully serviced refreshment counters, the cosy Nederberg bar, wheelchair-friendly facilities and secure, guarded parking.

The theatre stages almost all forms of the performing arts, from opera, symphony concerts, classical recitals, ballet, modern dance and musical revues to, of course, drama. It makes use of the highly sophisticated on-line booking service, Computicket, [link: www.computicket.com] enabling our patrons to effortlessly book tickets from the comfort of home.

Our team

A committee of eight dedicated part-time theatre practitioners administers RLT Productions. Collectively, the committee has some one hundred years of experience exercising the various skills and aptitudes that are required for running a first-rate theatre company.

In addition, they draw upon the services of the group’s many talented members, whatever their forte, from set-building, programme and poster design and ticket selling to writing, directing, and, of course, acting.
